Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band – February

What a clash of the gentle and the thunderous and it is why Seattle’s Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band regularly stir our insides into a mess of love and torn. ‘February’ though is a superior piece of lolloping, ebb and flow and a cascading flow of sound that might be overwhelming for some but I couldn’t help but dive in to investigate each of its many layers. And even if that pursuit is too onerous there is a guiding hand from a singer (one of several Verdoes siblings in the band) who lays on the lullaby qualities so all that churning never feels burdensome.
