Daniel Konge – Ocean

Piano heavy and instantly I was on the back foot, not in a negative way though – just taken by the hand and into another world of quaint reflection of the kind that reminds of Sigur Ros. Daniel’s vocals are such that we’re afforded even great comfort or at least a passage out of the modern pull and drag of needing to consume at every turn. ‘Ocean’ takes us back to nature and I appreciate it, especially in the manner that it shows us what is possible from the tending to aural senses. Illumination at every turn from Denmark’s Daniel Konge, passion but delivered in a manner that can’t possibly leave us anything less than soothed come the end. KH
