Tom Unbelieving – The Harvest

I couldn’t but not hear Frightened Rabbit on ‘The Harvest’, a folk quality that is both endearing and affecting. A bit of an off-kilter Divine Comedy to proceedings too so Tom Unbelieving have a feeling of coming from another time altogether. The mood is one of romance but also of dreamy elegance so the piece is rather out of step of contemporary times. And all the more welcome for it because we need to have an oasis here and there to take our mind off the endless switched-on for the next distraction. The psychedelic element just sealed the deal for me. KH
