It’s an attractive opening, the chanteuse and the old school organ before ]Hymn To You’ cascades into punk pop mode so there was never a chance of losing that sense of melodic intent. Even at this remove on the first listen Gothenburg’s Beverly Kills sound like they’ve conjured a classic, loud and gregarious but still serving us up dreamy allur from a singer who knows how to tap into her innermost.
