Kan Wakan (feat. SAIGO) – IO

Of course we’re aware of the Kan Wakan approach, in fact we’ve fallen completely before for their slick groove on ‘Tuesday’ and ‘IO’ has a similarly convincing approach. A hint of George Michael but operating in electronic circles that is forever at the pulse of the piece while a falsetto from SAIGO adding the cherry on top. There is a consummate swell of increasingly soulful emotions in the build, I found it hard to breathe in such company because ‘IO’ takes over to such a convincing degree. It talks to the listener, actually let’s get real it sweet talks the listener so it would be rather rude not to toe the line and get with the romance of it all. Another low-ebbed banger from Gueorgui Linev. KH
