Dave Devaney – Blood

There is a rush, slow rush, to the folk sound of yore from Mayo’s Dave Devaney and as such ‘Blood’ has a calming influence especially as he has tuned his chords in a reflective late night manner. All we need now is the flickering of a lamp to get us back to those times when thinking things through was not greeted by a bright screen, rather uninterrupted introspection and the romance of that unbroken system is evoked here. Romance of the deepest kind, candlelight and all. KH
