We Are The Willows – Saturday

It was Sufjan Stevens that I turned to first on ‘Saturday’, might be just those vocals but also a folk manner that is blessed with jazz tones. So the Minneapolis based We Are The Willows are certainly pulling us away from our usual hunting grounds and for that we are thankful and are now one of the converted because when things hit their stride this groover is perhaps the only funky town we are going to fall for this year, or any year but it is so svelte it just proved irresistible.
