There is jangle to be had at every turn from Houston four-piece Where O, ‘The Window’ opening a porthole to charming indie folk that feels like it has come from another time altogether. There is innocence you see, a degree of wonder that we lose as adults and so here’s a route back to feeling something more tangible than the constant pressure to conform. An invitation to take stock and come away at the end feeling we’re actually happy no matter if the algorithm is telling us differently. Reminded me of the Boy Least Likely To and isn’t it appropriate that we have found a song that is properly gentle with its audience. KH
