Roman Joon – Hot Air Balloon

Now those are hot and spicy beats alright, Roman Joon revealing themselves to be urgent and inquisitive types and which has ‘Hot Air Balloon’ levitating above the usual indie rock fare. Felt to me that anything could happen, something around the corner but never untoward but certainly of the giddy variety. Turns out that Roman Joon (Michael Baker) are genuine purveyors of the charming pop variety too, hushed melodies and suppressed brass adding another side to this most pleasing bounce of a track. Yes it seeps in and you’d need to have a hard heart not to offer it a permanent spot heart side. KH
