‘Body of Water’ sounds to me like a piece of reflection, not one you’d sleep along to because there is a beating heart to the Sikade approach. ‘Body of Water’ instead rises from that early ambience to a dream pop kind of haunting that has levity but also direction in the way a lot of songs of that genre swerve. All adds up to an involving and heartfelt listen, the strings just striking the kind of note that could have water flowing from eye sockets. Emotional stuff from Oslo’s Linnea Vestre. KH
