The Stable District – Kick It

Such a relaxed piece of psychedelia and I must admit to hearing Talk Talk and their ‘Spirit of Eden’ in those opening sequences. It boded very well for ‘Kick It’ as a result, even more when a singer akin to Sinead O’Connor added a more desolate reading on proceedings. What the Stable District do here however is flip the whole mood on its head and come the end it feels like we’ve been treated to an uplifting experience. Massive Attack fans are going to love this.
