Every time a Celestine Manno track strides into our personal space we immediately make room because a vital presence is guaranteed. ‘Change These Ways’ is just another one in a long line of opinionated but quaintly turned out indie rock affairs. Persuasive because there is articulation and nuance in every moving part, not least because there is a bard who commands the attention like few others. All around the players flex their muscles and ‘Change These Ways’ feels like the full package of sound as a result. One to carry with you, a piece to dig you out of a hole because that self-assured swagger is such a fill-up. KH
