The reverb was such that Flyss had it all worked out as to how to detach us from the natural wearisome noise of the day. The deal was sealed by a singer (Bec) who floated atop all the jangling action and reminded of Dolores O’Riordan out of the Cranberries. ‘Porcelain (Tread Carefully)’ could have emerged in the mid 90’s alright because it boasts an innocence but never at the expense of a song that allows us to attach ourselves back to that feeling of innocence and wonder. Beautiful stuff from this Sydney 5-piece. KH
