No doubt about it Leeds’ Lozenge are up for another shoegaze assault on ‘For Lack of Trying’. And that means from the word go there is a barrage of Swervedriver like chords to be contending with, the blocking out the sun kind in fact. But there is always the flipside from this band and it comes in the shape of a melodic undertow, so that no matter how much the earth shakes underfoot the sense of song remains sacrosanct.
