Mary Middlefield – Take Me As I Am

Must admit to being taken by surprise by the way this Mary Middlefield track took off, seemed to have an urgency that wouldn’t be your usual feature of this wondrous act’s musical armoury. ‘Take Me As I Am’ wasn’t going to shake our concrete belief however that this Swiss act is one of the most potent in 2026 (and 2-25, 2024, 2023..) and once the initial flurry of surprise had waned it was clear that this track was just another slice of wonder. Furious but full of pop rapture, a dizzying experience in fact. KH
