No doubt about it Glasgow’s Crawford Mack has brought a golden pop glow to his ‘Back From The Brink’. Came across all Paul McCarthy to me, but with a tell-tale indie rock vibe and when that tumble of instrumentation arrived after the first minute it really had the goosebumps firing. This is probably as ebullient as I’ve heard from this act and it suits him because of Crawford Mack’s unerring ability to call upon a toe-tapping rhapsody. Genuinely beautiful. KH
