It’s the character you see, as soon as Eliza Edens starts out on ‘Leash’ we know we’re home in a sound that is flush with personality and no little fun. Folk and country but the bounce of a contemporary pop song that eschews all the obvious options in favour of a slap of the thigh and a singsong among friends. ‘Leash’ has the quintessential qualities of a cheerer-upper so how could be resist?
