Stray Planets – Your Revolution

Dublin’s Stray Planets have produced something big here, shoegaze-like but with an inkling towards sixties pop amid the tangle of wires and beats. For me ‘Your Revolution’ produced a reminder of the Boo Radleys (and the House of Love’s ‘Christine’) when they started out and were producing classics like ‘Does This Hurt?’ from 1992’s ‘Everything’s Alright Forever’. And believe me that is no little praise because in the fullness of time we are seeing what an act they truly were. John Butler of Stray Planets is in that sort of orbit and continues to show the sort of potential that is heart pounding. KH
