The warmth of a Gareth Inkster record, quite unique in fact but then maybe we are biased as we’ve watched this Canadian rise and rise over the years. ‘Domino’ shows a confident leap forward too, not quite pop but polished in that fashion without ever losing sight of the thing that set him apart – namely a maker of fine tuneage. Easy on the ear but with longevity built in means that ‘Domino’ is a boon for those looking for a renewed pep in the step. KH
