The way it introduces itself you just get the feeling that Nashvile’s Elrod had a folk number that was intent on foraging. And so it turns out, the smouldering intensity giving rock fans plenty for their money too. ‘Cauterization’ was one of those songs that I needed to stop half-way, let the first impression breathe a little before returning for the closing passages.
