North Atlantic Explorers – Blast Off

A moniker like that and ‘Blast Off’ was always going to offer up something different. aSo it turned out, was getting all manner of Grandaddy/Mercury Rev flashbacks and all the psychedelic rendering one could imagine. This is Vancouver produced indie-rock that comes from another age altogether, a layered kind of opus that never departs from the art of the tune even if it might be buried under several tons of noise and feedback. I felt it and it felt good. KH
