Felt a little wonder to this Park Rd track, perhaps it was the synths or the slightly twee way that the word gush from the speaker. Heard a little Apples in Stereo but at the chorus ‘Floodlights’ spread its wings and gave us reason us to love Park Rd even more. A song that blooms as it goes, hinting at Joy Zipper and that has all sorts of dreamgaze connotations. Sweet stuff from this Auckland five-piece. KH
