Total Joy – Shining Light

I’d be one for the janglier side of things and ‘Shining Light’ appealed straight away as a result. Reminding or at least stirring up reminders of the original ‘I Got You Babe’ there is undoubtedly a sixties flavour to proceedings. And that extends right through to a chorus that has a harmony drenching going on but which keeps that alt leaning aesthetic in tact at the same time. Total Joy are well named and their music is a waving flag of happy thoughts and processes. KH
