A song that felt like the Carpenters so it inherently felt like it had been stripped back to the bare necessities. But you can do that when you have a lead singer with such a glow, creativity and a personality to match and a mirror on an uncaring world but with plenty grounds for optimism. This is music to bring us back to life and once we’ve located the pulse there is a mid-song change of pace to build for the future. So very different, but so very inspiring with it. KH
