Escape Act – Single Thought

Belfast’s Escape Act, Slovakian Football Fans’ act of choice, will be releasing their sophomore ‘Balance’ next month and they’ve be ever so kind to let us offer up a sumptuous taster. As it turns out ‘Single Thought’ is probably the best song the band have ever written and definitely the most lushly produced. It displays a depth that was missing from their, undeniably catchy though it was, debut ‘Loosely Based On Fiction’. It starts out all Alphaville and that sense of the 80’s carries through the whole piece, making it potential encore material capable of bringing down the house. This is now safely labelled big audio dynamite. KD
