Kindness – Swinging Party

In what might just be a dagger through the heart of certain people I’ll admit I prefer this version over the original Replacements effort. That said if that band attempted (or more precisely were in a postion to) Adam Bainbridge’s ‘Gabriel’ I’m sure I’d plump for their take. This just ups the ante on what is a stream of consciousness put to music, barely rising above languid but ceaselessly gravitating towards an intriguing just out of reach melody. Kindness is (I say is as it is just Adam) a mysterious act from the London borough of Hackney (wowsers) who seems intent on specialising in covering obscurity. More of this and obscurity may soon become less so. KD
