If you think this sounds like something you’ve heard before you’d be right but I’d rather crawl across a universe of broken glass rather than spoil your agonised brain scraping. Chicago artist Graham Czach stylish delivery and obvious talent has turned what could have been a jumped up cover into something approaching an inspired homily. ‘Gather Round’ is taken from last year’s ‘Lucid’, part of the sales of which went to a host of charities. Pity then that the world seems to have let the album slip on by without as much as a nod of approval. Deserved much better treatment. KD
