Hush Arbors – Devil Made You High

Ok, I’ll admit to having googled ‘Devil Made You High’ to see if it was a cover. The reason is a complimentary one for Keith Wood as his song reminds me of a better class of Built To Spill from way back in yonkage. May well be the copy I ended up with but the production is so grimy I really hope this is the way it was intended. It was produced by J Mascis so chances are the cloud was woven with care, dedication and no small amount of skill. The circle is completed by the knowledge that Hush Arbors are signed to Thurston Moore’s Ecstatic Peace label. Any electrical faults during the recording of ‘Yankee Reality’ could have robbed us of half of our heroes. KD
