Yo La Tengo – I Feel Like Going Home
Seems that any song with ‘Home’ in the title is a winner. Right off the top of my head I can think of memorable ones from the Brilliant Trees, Findlay Browne and Edward Sharpe that mention those special 4 walls. Well, here is another delicate beauty from those perennials Yo La Tengo called ‘I Feel Like Going Home’, taken from 2006 LP ‘I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass’. Now here is a band that have frustrated for many a year, appearing like the archetypal band to send our hearts into a flutter but frustratingly failing to do so more often than not. But when they breach the bullseye a plume of magic fills the air and there is hardly a dry eye in the house. This is pure unadulterated beauty. KD
