Fotoshop – Becoming Zen
You could call it dirty MGMT, but then what more would you expect from a north european purveyor of processed beats. As it is the hooks aren’t as clean as they need to be to ensure wholesale devotion, but that doesn’t stop it from being clever sonic architecture. The bottom line is that Fotoshop don’t do snappy (hee!), but it is this mysterious muddying of the lines that makes Jarno-Erik Faarinen and his laptop such an interesting proposition. Namely compositions that lurk in the shadows but never fail to make their presence felt. KD
