Yeah I know what you’re thinking, why couldn’t they have gone and called themselves Samurai Cities. Well, you’d do well to remember that not all Swedish bands have to bend to our English speaking partiality all of the time. Samuraj Cities are a singular band; one that weaves the electronic with the guitar totting in a carefree manner. Their debut album ‘Cheap Deluxe’ has been hailed from certain quarters but despite turning 2 this year it remains off the radar. ‘All Along The Shoreline’ should be reason enough to welcome it into your home (as well as their charming use of that distinctly Irish phrase ‘thanks a million’ on ‘Thxa1000000’) with its nice little distorted riff that underpins the piece. ‘Cheap Deluxe’ is available from the appropriately named Imperial Recordings.
