When I’m tired it’s so much easier to fall back on the sounds from the days of ford cortina. Like when looking at old photographs is far more desirable than creating new memories. Cornershop spun into largescale consciousness due to a flaccid Fatboy Slim remix of their otherwise excellent ‘Brimful Of Asha’ single. Although nearly 2 decades old the Leicester band are releasing a brand new album later this month. It’s called ‘The Roll-Off Characteristics (Of History in the Making)’ and if it’s as good as its predecessors it’s quite likely that both woman’s and man’s gotta have it. KD
