A list of biographical notes alert one to the fact that Brooklyn based Liam Singer was made to live up to his name. And he does so in grand style on this latest single ‘The Brief Encounter’ which is indeed literal itself in its own adminstration. With just 2 minutes on the clock the massed youth choir, elaborately assembled orchestra, spectral backing vocals and Singer’s own pastoral singing fade into the distance. Could have stretched it to twice that lenght and there’d be no complaints here but there’s more ground to be covered. I’d imagine a Christmas single would be something to behold. KD
