And tonight I think we’ve reached the summit (from tomorrow be prepared for colourless indie morsels for weeks on end) with this remarkable song from Danish band Treelight For Sunlight. The band’s self-titled LP is due out tomorrow (heart) on Bella Union and if ‘What Became of You and I’ is typical of the fare on offer then surely we’re talking about album of the year already. Perfect harmonies abound with a straight laced verse laying the perfect foundation for what is a chorus straight from the pet sounds songbook. A genuine thrill. KD
