An instrumental in the alternative sphere is so often confined to the grandeur of a post-rock epic. There are exceptions of course, but it takes something great to camouflage the lack of human voice. So we hereby award greatness on Denver’s Woodsman and the theatre in the jangle of their ‘All Tangled Up’. Taken from their upcoming 3rd LP, it offers a vivid expression of doodling chord structures. The tune also incorporates an atmospheric bent that means that even though the storyline is quite obvious early on you never pine for the closing credits. No matter how loud you play this it will still sound soft on your ears. KD
