Norway’s Andrea Niane offers us the clearest of vocals, a lullaby with all the wonder of someone who still looks at the stars in the sky and thinks she’ll be up there someday. And all that wide-eyed behaviour rubs off on the rest of us because we were there years ago before it was eroded away by life experience. But Andrea has given us a porthole to return to the majesty of innocence and glee though this monumentally hopeful work. Reminded me of Bjork, but mostly ‘The Man With The Child In His Eyes’ era Kate Bush. There is hope after all.
