Not sure if it is my emotional state but I found something entirely sad about the way Blonde Otter’s lead man lets the words out, reminded me of Supertramp. The melancholy that pours forth comes with oodles of melody to take the sting out every time. It is simple stuff and something that might have come by way of pints of tears, real emotion but not many can articulate it with an indie flow like this New York act. Beach Boys and the Very Most fans will be sold so that’s me won over on the double. KH
