That bassline is enough to shift any indie aficionado into action and the whole pot pourri of a sound had me initially thinking Arcade Fire. That said the haunted vocals do change the tact completely here and in the process takes us the realm of dream folk and dreamy confections in general. So we had reminders of the 90’s but there is a clarity of production here that brings us right up to date. The brass proved an exhilarating exchange for me and in the process ‘Greener’ just kept on finding new ways to reel us back to its epic cause. KH
