The first person who sprang to mind when I chanced upon ‘Hard To Love’, by this mysterious Berlin based producer, was Ian Brown. There is just something in the manner in which the words are cast off, all swagger and cool and I rule the world about it. Makes for a persuasive piece of groove, a singable vocal turn so those of us without body rhythm can join in in some capacity. This is 90’s baggy reimagined so Jagwar Ma fans as well as a whole host aging 90’s indie-dance heads will be grinning, rather than gurning, from ear to ear. KH
