Sure does make for a bulbous confluence a sound, like a creeping industrial set of machinery to shake the bones of even the infirm. To be fair to Toronto’s Absolutely Free they match the bluster with a vocal line that has something much more in tune with giving us levity into the bargain. This is music for headphones for those who want to block out all the unwanted noise and instead bed down with an act who have a touch of the 80’s but mostly beat a path to the future. Think Tame Impala with a heavy sprinkling of Add N To (X). Must say I was struck with the ambition of it all, each of the various nuances offering a pot of gold for those who wish to peer inside.
