Glad of tracks like this early in the week, seems the right way to temper our hopes and in ‘Wonderland’ we have a song that is shorn of all the production wheeze to leave instead the bare necessities. And nothing extra is needed when we’re in the company of a singer who can tell a story through a simple change in intonation. I don’t think I’ve heard anything this romantic in ages, a trip to the fantastical and life affirming well of good hope and all wrapped up in just under 4 minutes.
