Québec’s André Nault is one cool customer alright, letting those chords stroll out under all that reverb before hitting us over the head like some indie rock construct from the 90’s. And ‘Carré Mammouth’ makes for a heady surf and turf approach, the feeling that in having the tempo switch we should ourselves as listeners learn to enjoy all the moments because who knows when things will make a turn for the better. It falls into our lap like a grandiose stew of musical dynamics and we couldn’t help but gorge on the imperious mess. KH
