It feels so well conceived, from a Newcastle bard in the flush of hitting his stride – comfortable with crafting a song that rarely overwhelms but is forever tugging at our fraying attention span to come back and savour the fine aural wine. And ‘Do It Anyway’ definitely has something in its water to make for an experience worth taking several times. The instrumental break properly underlined that to me, sweeping us ever more closer to well up at the beauty of it all. KH
