The Churchhill Garden – Keep The Faith

Some serious heft in the list of influences so why did ‘Keep The Faith’ remind me so my of ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’ by Phil Collins initially. Luckily and thankfully things took a tangential streak soon afterwards and what a collection of dreamy vocals and a jangling masterclass from Switzerland’s the Churchhill Garden. The best thing of course is that they were able to retain the momentum throughout and even drifted into prime shoegaze while they were at it. These charming people do have something of the Smiths too so you know goodness is plentiful. KH
