Keyside – Turn Back The Time

By the looks of all those influences I can clearly hear something of the Coral and plenty of the La’s in Liverpool’s Keyside, the post-folk shimmering of a band who can conjure passion from the tenderest of outputs. In short ‘Turn Back The Time’ gets the rest of us stirred up through their sweet and tender force of will. I can see the summer music festivals now, thousands singing the words back to a godsmacked but keeping it together and always cool headed Keyside. A special brew, it gave me the tingles and for once it wasn’t an occasion to turn up the heating. Memorable stuff from Dan Parker, Ben Cassidy, Oisin McAvoy and Max Gibson. KH
