Slightest Clue – Carousel

What a slow progression, the kind that certainly brings with it a night-time funk and with a singer who boasts a hang-dog quality there is a most different allure to ‘Carousel’. But Vancouver’s Slightest Clue certainly have something about them and it comes in a second singer who adds an energetic yang to the initial slow burning yin. There is a fire burning and so come the mid-section we have the theatre of a pair of lovers who are going at it hammer and tongs. Hadn’t expected the fire and brimstone but it was a welcome surprise and one that endeared this act completely to our caked on arteries. KH
