Anya True – Hannah

Rare we get something this earthy and real, the chords alone landing soft impacts on us and leaving the door open for Anya True to issue words that complete the emotional impact of a good old fashioned hug. Reminded me most of Soak, the capacity to move beyond love song and into a moving piece for even those for whom romance has offered little solace through the years. But ‘Hannah’ offers a route back to those feelings as it builds and it builds to this beautiful montage of human connections. Hopeful as can be. KH
