Mia Mera – Acute Uncertainty

Now that takes me right back as ‘Acute Uncertainty’ has a proper free-wheeling alt nineties robustness about it. Throw in some shoegaze attuned riffs and it amounts to a rollicking good time with a tune that gets us to a ‘Raise’ LP by Swervedriver era. In other words for all the noise and feedback there is the essence of a pop song here so we can take a breath amid the pummeling decibel levels. I’d have to have changed overnight not to be convinced by the Jack Dourakos led Mia Mera. KH
