The quietness is what gets you first, the fact that these kind of songs don’t come around all that often in the 20’s and I was drawn through the decades to a young folkster called Conor Oberst trading as Bright Eyes. But ‘Black Hole’ has so much ammunition to deploy too so the explosive epicenter comes as a bit of a surprise such is its veracity. What a fine contrast, the quiet and the loud in glorious harmony and a good choice of lead single for Pseudoseason’s (Sam O’Brien, Leith Jehu, and Matthew Linkkila) upcoming debut LP. KH
