Must say I was having Superchunk flashbacks on ‘Mega Horse’ from New York combo Manager, at least in those early guitar clash routines. Manager do manage (!) to take off in their own anthemic way however and it made for a spellbinding kind of 90’s throwback too. Yep, this is right up my alt rock craving alley alright, a steady pulse right the way through and a sterling tune at the heart of proceedings which has the veracity to stand up to repeat visits. KH
